Also known as the Norfolk and Western Bridge, this bright red truss bridge spans the Des Moines River. Originally built in 1891 as a railroad bridge, it has undergone various modifications over the years. This bridge is next to railroad tracks.

These bridges are very similar. They both feature decorative elements and balustrades, near the Court Avenue Historic District. Offers picturesque views of the Des Moines River and downtown architecture.

I-235 Pedestrian Bridges
This series of three basket-handle arch pedestrian bridges spanning Interstate 235 in Des Moines, is designed to enhance connectivity between neighborhoods. They are a great place for senior pictures!

Southwoods Park Bridge
Truth be told, even a basic park bridge is photogenic! This gently curving green bridge is nestled in West Des Moines’ Southwoods Park, surrounded by trees and natural greenery. Gray’s Lake Bridge

Iowa Women of Achievement Bridge

Fun Fact: Before 2010, this was called the Center Street Bridge.
